Hi! My name is Carol, and I am a member of the Madden and Gilbert PT crew in Hershey. I was born and raised in Harrisburg, which is where I currently reside. I was always an active child – enjoying any sport or outdoor activity. I was commonly described as caring and got along with just about everyone. My coach often said, “If Carol doesn’t like you, then something is wrong,” because it was very unlikely for me to not like someone. I took a special liking to basketball, which became my passion, talent, and a big part of my life from the time I was 6 years old. I adopted the nickname ‘C-Web’ as I played for the Central Dauphin Rams and travel ball in high school, and at Slippery Rock University where I graduated from my undergraduate degree in 2022.

I always thought I would be an athletic trainer, until my dad had a really bad sciatica issue that kept him from walking. After seeing him rehabilitate to fully function again with the help of physical therapy, I knew that I wanted to be a physical therapist. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2024. Instead of being interested in being a sports physical therapist, I found my niche for neuro PT. I loved learning about the brain and the different neural pathways. I now have a special interest in treating patients with balance difficulties, neurological disorders, and autoimmune diseases. I am not that different today from when I was younger. I still enjoy being active playing in rec leagues like basketball and beach volleyball, hiking, and hammocking. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am still caring and love helping others, enough to make a career out of it. I am now a basketball coach in competitive travel leagues rather than playing in them. I’m just older with a doctorate degree!
