Peter Juzwiak, PTA
Hello! My name is Peter Juzwiak, and I am a Physical Therapy Assistant here at Madden & Gilbert Physical Therapy in Shrewsbury. While I was raised in Dallastown, PA, I was born in Daegu (formally known as Taigu City) South Korea. I was adopted and came to the US when I was 4 months old. Growing up, I was very into sports which helped develop my interest in physical therapy. I played soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse before committing to just ice hockey and lacrosse. I continued with lacrosse through high school and then went on to play a few years at the collegiate level before deciding to attend Physical Therapy Assistant school. In 2019, I graduated from Central Penn College and worked for outpatient orthopedic clinics in Harrisburg and Hanover, PA before joining Madden and Gilbert in January 2022.
While I enjoy treating orthopedic conditions, I have a special interest in neurological rehab, specifically Parkinson’s Disease. I have my certification in PWR! which stands for Parkinsons Wellness Recovery and have helped lead multiple seminars on Parkinsons. In PT, I address common symptoms of Parkinsons such as stooped posture, increased joint stiffness, slow movements, and impaired balance and walking. I love being able to help patients regain the function that Parkinsons tries to take away from them. The joy and happiness the patient gets when they achieve their goals is very rewarding.
When I am not in the clinic, you can usually find me watching sports and cheering for the Washington Capital, Baltimore Ravens, and Michigan State Spartans. I also love to spend time with friends, family, and my beautiful girlfriend Allison.
