Addie Hawley, DPT, OCS, MTC
Hi there, my name is Addie and I am so glad you found us here at Madden and Gilbert PT!
I grew up in Lutherville, MD (just outside of Baltimore), but some of my fondest memories come from summers spent with my family up in Maine. We live on an island called Southport Island, which is located about an hour north of Portland. During my high school summers in Maine, I competed on the Southport Yacht Club Sailing Team. I continue to look forward to spending time up in Maine each summer.
I first became interested in physical therapy at a very young age. My childhood best friend required extensive PT and OT for several years. I attended some of these appointments with her, and even at my young age, I was truly amazed at the impact therapy had on her life.
I attended University of Mary Washington, in Fredericksburg, VA, where I graduated with a BS in Biology in 2013. While studying at Mary Washington, I competed on the women’s lacrosse team and also coached lacrosse at a local high school. I volunteered in the athletic training room, which was a large part of where my interest in sports rehabilitation began.
I completed my physical therapy education at University of St. Augustine, in St. Augustine, FL, graduating with my DPT in 2016. Since graduation, I earned my Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine in 2018. I also completed a FastTrack Residency in Orthopedics with the NxtGen Institute and earned my OCS accreditation in 2019.
I love working as a physical therapist. I love using a combination of manual therapy and exercises to help people reach their goals. It is so rewarding when people are able to get back to an activity that they love. I have a special interest in rehabbing athletes and returning them to playing sports.
I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
