Hello! My name is Dr. Alicia Yoh, and I am excited to be part of the team here at Madden and Gilbert Physical Therapy in Harrisburg! I grew up in Myerstown, PA – a small town surrounded by corn fields – where I attended ELCO School District throughout grade school. I played soccer, field hockey and high jumped for track and field during my high school years. Following high school graduation in 2019, I attended Lebanon Valley College, earning my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2022, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2024.

When I was growing up, a physical therapist was not my answer whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be. For many years, I aspired to become a marine biologist or veterinarian. As I got older, I realized how much I loved talking to and interacting with new people and getting to learn about them and their life – goals, family, things they love to do. I also loved helping people in any way I could, which made me realize my prior career aspirations weren’t exactly what I was looking for. I then had a physical therapy experience as a patient after a sports injury, which truly made me interested in PT. I shadowed a few family friends and further fell in love with the profession.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy all things outdoors – walking, hiking, fishing, hunting, and running are some of my favorites! I love spending time with my family and friends on the weekends, especially when we can all sit around the campfire during the fall. I live with my parents in Myerstown and have a younger sister who attends Lycoming College and is on the basketball team. Believe it or not, my sister is two years younger than me, but we often get asked if we’re twins!

In August of 2025, I will be marrying my fiancé and the love of my life, Angel! We had been in a long-distance relationship since high school, as he was a United States Marine stationed in North Carolina. He recently completed his active-duty service and has moved back to Pennsylvania! I am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished, so chances are you’ll hear his name pop up in the clinic at one point or another!

Some fun facts about me…
• I LOVE ice cream – specifically mint chocolate chip – and will grab a bowl of ice cream any chance I get!
• I traveled to Italy for two weeks in high school to play soccer.
• I have two pet bunnies – Peter and Piper.
• I enjoy looking for sea glass at the beach.
• I ran a 10k and ½ marathon – and lived to tell about it!

I am so excited to get to know you, help you achieve your goals and get back to everything you love! I cannot wait to work with you!
